Mothers March polio drive led by Mrs Ruth Schools
For the 13th year Mrs. Ruth Schools chairs the Mothers March against polio in Mason County directing a door to door canvass scheduled Monday. The effort includes many workers across towns and rural areas with co chairs and Junior Women’s Club members coordinating routes and leaders.

Wichita fire crews rushed to two Doris Street blocks after an excited caller reported a fire. The dispatcher sent units to both North Doris and South Doris due to unclear location. The alarm proved false.
