Albany Bank Displays Painting of Coles Gorillas Legacy
Albany visitors view a large painting of Cole the Columbus Zoo’s oldest living gorilla, created by Joni Carrington from a 25 year-old photo. Cole, born Dec 22 1956, died this week at Columbus Zoo after a malignant tumor removal on Dec 3. Carrington plans to donate or entrust the work to the zoo.

Athens tattoo parlor owner shot. mother seeks clues
A 29 year old Athens man and Thunderbunny Tattoo Parlor owner, Alex Andrews, was shot through his kitchen window around 2 a.m. at his residence on 20 Brown Ave and transported to Ohio Health O'Bleness Hospital then flown to Huntington. He is recovering from injuries to his face, neck, chest and abdomen and spoke to police. His mother Terri Jean urged anyone with information to contact authorities as she expressed belief the shooting was not random.

Albany to cut sewer service if Alexander schools don’t annex
