Fire Sweeps Home Killing Four Children in Abington

Four children perished and a six week old sister suffered serious burns when a Quonset style home near the Rockland line burned Monday night. Two children died in a second story room, two others were found beneath a collapsed bed on the first floor. Victims were Roger McDonald 8, James 6, Kevin 3, and David 2. Jannine 6 weeks old suffered head burns and was taken to Brockton Hospital. The blaze appeared caused by an overheated space heater.
