Wards to Study at Home School in Pomeroy Area
Beginning today thirty five of the forty county wards at the Children’s Home will start instruction at their home instead of Sugar Run grade school. A county instructor will lead the first Fifth grades with seven grades covered. remaining pupils will continue at Sugar Run. The move aims to relieve congestion at the Pomeroy school by shifting home wards to the local home education program.

Coal Thief Davenport Held on Charges in County Jail
Charles Davenport of Nelsonville faced charges after stealing fifteen bushels of coal from the New York Central railroad. Police found a twelve inch improvised weapon on Davenport, who pleaded guilty to coal stealing and carrying concealed weapons. He paid fines of ten dollars and three dollars and seventy-five cents, with bond set at five hundred dollars for the weapons count. Merchant Die in Motor Accident Near Circleville
Funeral arrangements were set for Frank A. Heselton 39 local merchant killed in a three car collision on the Columbus Chillicothe highway nine miles south of Circleville.
