Six Ohio youth will contest the finals of the seventh annual Prince of Peace Declaration Contest in Cleveland on Jan. 19. In Willoughby on January 15 a six year old, Joseph Mudrich of Chicago, and his grandmother Mrs Roy Kiss were killed after stepping from behind a slow freight into a New York Central passenger train at a crossing. They were returning from a nearby grocery store when struck.

Columbus report states Ohio farmers must unite to secure improved credit terms. L B Palmer, president of the Ohio Farm Bureau, told a conference of farm leaders convened by State Director S A Guthery that farmer investments are at risk and that justice and equality must be demanded for farmers.

Two army air officers were killed and three enlisted men seriously injured when their bomber crashed near Manila. The dead include Lieut. Raymond C Zettel of the West Branch Michigan and Lieut.
