Four Arrested in VFW Post Theft in Nelsonville
Nelsonville police nabbed three men and a 17 year old in the act of burglarizing the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post on Lake Hope Drive. Pincelli Smith and Henson were caught under the river bridge after fleeing with beer and merchandise. food, gum, cigarettes, and a small sum were recovered. Authorities say several break-ins have occurred in the city recently.

Teen Age Republicans win prize at politics school in Columbus
Nelsonville Teen Age Republicans and advisors attended the School of Politics in Columbus hosted by the Ohio League of Young Republican Clubs. The Nelsonville club won a cash award for attendance and received its 1969 charter, accepted by Cathye Smith and Merita Gastin.
