Millett seeks 25 million addition to Rhodes bond plan
Columbus Ohio AP Millett proposes adding 25 million to Gov Rhodes 265 million capital improvements program to fund 40 million in emergency higher education work. If approved the bond issue would total 290 million including 10 million for Cleveland State 5 million for Wooster agricultural college and 4 million for Wright and Youngstown State Universities. The plan also reallocates 1 million each to several institutions and would unlock 12 million in federal matching funds over two years. The Regents say the 320 million program needs urgent funding to finish the 1963 1969 cycle for higher education facilities.
