Junior Music Clubs Present Program Sunday Afternoon
The Athens Woman's Music Club hosted a Sunday program by the junior clubs at 21 Sunnyside Drive with Mrs. L C Mitchell and Mrs. Richard Selleck directing. Participants included Ann Baker on violin, Carolyn Kellogg, Nancy Martin, Patricia Witzler, Eleanor Thackery, Ruth Ellen Stone, Phyllis Peterson, Nancy Wright and others performing Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, and Bertold Rehfeld works, with piano, violin, cello, and cello pieces noted.

University Chorus To Present Handel's The Messiah Sunday
The Ohio University Chorus under Prof Karl Ahrendt makes its first appearance with the university Symphony Orchestra in Memorial Auditorium Sunday Jan 14 at 8 pm. Admission charged for students and public. Soloists include Evangeline Merritt Helen Roach and Phillip Peterson with two students handling bass parts. The performance features about 150 voices and several area student performers in a classic Messiah program with well known choruses.
