Paris reports the United States embassy states the French foreign office advised a 300 percent increase in U S import quotas for Q1 1934 affecting hundreds of American products and millions of dollars. Earlier France cut industrial quotas by 75 percent and aims to pressure nations for reciprocal advantages. The U S becomes the first country to gain a higher quota.
