Pancake Plans to Run Again for Ohio Senate
Nelsonville Democrat Charles L. Pancake announces a bid for a second term in the Ohio General Assembly. The veteran union leader and World War II veteran lists local offices, labor roles, education, and family in his profile, noting reapportionment places his Athens County home in the new 18th district alongside Meigs Gallia Scioto Pike Lawrence and Jackson counties. A historical note recalls Pan American’s 1935 ocean crossing by flying boat from San Francisco to Manila in 59 hours.
