Public Utilities Seeks More Propane for Farmers
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio will contact chemical and petroleum firms this week to divert more propane to farmers for grain drying. Officials aim to overcome Texas supply delays, with rail truck and pipeline options at full capacity and barges considered to move propane up the Mississippi. About 1.6 million gallons allocated last week are gone, and authorities seek additional supply within the three week window to meet the estimated 20 million gallon regional need.
