At least 19 dead and scores injured as Marlborough apartment hotel fire traps residents. Fire officials suspect a boiler explosion in the furnace room sparked the blaze early morning, with 200 residents displaced in below zero temperatures.
President Roosevelt outlined a plan to cut almost all government expenses except national defense and to raise new taxes for emergency defense.
