Ohio Supreme Court reverses two obscenity convictions
The Ohio Supreme Court reversed the April 24 1967 convictions of George Potts and John Stone of Cincinnati for criminal possession of obscene literature and upheld an appeals court reversal of Polly King owner of King News. The ruling demands an indictment clearly state intent to use exhibit or sell obscene material. Justice Herbert urged reconsideration of the statute and suggested a new obscenity law may be needed.
