War Production in 1940 Not Matter for Real Satisfaction
The Navy and Marine air forces held 2,145 planes a year ago with a later rise of 390. Training has doubled while aircraft output nears 700 next month, and light tanks roll out four a day. New camps and bases expand, manpower moves toward readiness, yet major gaps and delays cloud progress toward total war capability by 1941.
