No POW Releases Today as Hanoi Hints at Possible 140 More

AP reports a North Vietnamese spokesman said no American prisoners would be released on Tuesday. U.S. officials, however, held a distinct possibility of about 140 POWs being handed over, with Hanoi expected to issue a formal list soon. The cease fire and troop withdrawals frame the dispute as Hanoi cites civilian missing persons and Vietnam’s 100 000 families.

Buffalo Creek Memorial Library Dedication Named In Honor Of Flood Victims

Gov Arch Moore dedicated the Buffalo Creek Memorial Library and Cultural Center at Man West Virginia to honor 118 killed in the Feb 26 1972 flood. About 1800 attended a memorial at Man High School before the ceremony. The complex includes a carousel library with 6000 books and a connected cultural center funded by unions and Jaycees.
