Surfacing Work Begins on Route 17 South of Kanawha
Preliminary work for a hard surface on Route 17 between Kanawha Five Mile and Winfield has started. Prison labor from Putnam County ferries rock from the Felix Brown farm at Pliny for a concrete macadam road with a heavy stone base.
