City Hall to Reorganize as Fire Station Moves

City offices will be rearranged after the fire department relocates to the new Columbus Road quarters, likely in June. Mayor Raymond Shepard says minor remodeling, costing only a few hundred dollars, will be done by city crews. The police department gains the east side room, the council moves to the west room, and the mayor and service director shift into the former council space with a partition for private offices. The mayor and service director switch to the main police area, and space may be reallocated for the income or water departments as needed. The police chief's office may connect to the auditor's quarters.
