Detroit AP report says 38 year old Nelle Lassiter was charged with first degree murder and conspiracy in the April 6 killing of Parvin Bill Lassiter, a Royal Oak car dealer. Gordon Watson, 44, arrested in Los Angeles, faces similar warrants. five co conspirators named.
In Waianae Mountains western Oahu Army rescue teams lowered Pfc. Roy W. Kocurek 18 of La Grange Texas by rope from a 600 foot cleft where he spent two days without food or water. His companion Pfc. Burr C. Osbonlighter 20 of Albany New York escaped and sought help after a tree broke and they could not descend. He was later flown to Tripler Army Hospital.
Cleveland area liquor enforcement chief Michael T. Corsaro will not be prosecuted after county prosecutor John T. Corrigan said there is no basis for charges. Peter Reid, owner of a local tavern, refused to testify after admitting offering Corsaro $50 in marked bills. Corsaro resigned then withdrew resignation and appealed for reinstatement.
In Columbus Ohio at least two infants have suffocated this year after plastic film clung to their mouths and noses. State health officials warn that last year's safety advisories on plastic coverings are not being heeded.
Edward Westerfield, 50, of Elyria, a street department employee, was crushed to death Tuesday while adjusting a bulky lift mechanism on a city dump truck loaded with salt. Police reported the accident occurred at the city yard.

Buel Salyers, 28, of Columbus, accused of forcing two restaurant customers at gunpoint to drive him to Circleville last December 16. He was charged with kidnapping in Municipal Court. The victims are William B. Heckler, 23, and Robert F. Friesner, 22, both of Columbus.

Thirteen federal agents lead the probe with local officers aiding the search.
Cincinnati court appointed attorney asks the First District State Court of Appeals to stay Huston Nelson 17 scheduled to die for a robbery killing. The appeal hearing is continued to March 17 to give the prosecution time to file briefs. Nelson was sentenced to die by a three judge court in November after being charged with killing Mrs Bernice Wilson 61 in her drugstore on February 9 1959.

David Harley Allen, 22, of Columbus, is jailed in city prison on charges of sending an anonymous letter through the mails that threatened the life of Mrs. Dean Wright of Columbus and threatened to blow up her residence. He is to be arraigned before U. S. Commissioner Robert W. Newton.
Government sleuths say the January 6 NC air disaster that killed 34 people was caused by a dynamite bomb set off by a dry cell battery. The blast occurred near Julian Frank, a Westport Connecticut attorney carrying a million dollars in life insurance. Authorities consider the possibility of a conspiracy by two or more individuals.
In East Germany at the Karl Marx Mine in Zwickau 22 more bodies were recovered today from the depths. Authorities say little hope remains for the 84 miners still trapped by a two day fire sparked by a gas explosion in the main tunnel.
