Miners Likely Trapped After Blast at Jenny Lind Shaft
At Fort Smith Arkansas on February 24 a gas explosion trapped 15 to 18 miners in Mahma Mine No 3 shaft at Jenny Lind eight miles south. About 125 men worked across three shafts. 100 escaped.
