Morris Thompson, 34, of Zanesville was severely bitten by a pack of 18 hunting dogs in a field near the city. A farmer drove the dogs away and Thompson was rescued. a hog companion named Harry Henderson escaped by climbing a fence.

Crashes blamed on unreliable radios and dense storms disrupt flights from Chicago to Cleveland and other routes.
Eight robbers invaded the City Produce Company offices in Lorain Ohio last night and escaped with about $1000 in receipts. When they could not open the safe they forced a worker to drive a gang member to the bookkeeper A J Lefleur's home and compelled him to open the vault.

An explosion and ensuing fire at Proctor's Theater on Broadway Yonkers caused two deaths and 12 injuries. Six injured were hospitalized at St Joseph's as fire crews responded with two alarm dispatches. Officials said the blast occurred in the basement before the theater opened and fire followed the blast. Two of the injured were feared dead from severe burns when the sidewalk collapsed.
Eugene Burkle of Mechanicsburg was arrested by State Patrolman F J Cryne on Mechanicsburg Road for reckless driving. He was arraigned before Magistrate Carl H Porter and fined ten dollars plus costs.
