Hocking Valley Technical College trustees approved Phase I plans for a three story educational building designed by Kellan Foley Architects. The project includes a 84 235 square foot main structure and a 9 957 square foot auxiliary building with a 40 000 dollar flood‑level parking lot adjustment funded by bonds.

Mills Trial Set to Open March 5 in Ohio Court
Judge Harley E. Meyer will preside in Vinton County Common Pleas Court as Oliver Mills, 62, faces counts of shooting with intent to kill and to wound David Wilbur. Wilbur, a deputy sheriff then, was wounded August 31, 1970 near Creola while with Sheriff Harold Steele. Mills is imprisoned at Chillicothe Correctional Institute after a manslaughter conviction in Steele's death. Richard Ward prosecutes. David Kessler defended Mills in a prior trial. Alan Travis will defend this trial.
