Meigs RSVP Ready After Grant to Run Local Volunteer Program
Meigs County RSVP is set to operate after a federal ACTION grant of about 27000 dollars was approved for one year. Executive director Eleanor Thomas leads a team including Pearl Welker Alice Wamsley Henry Watson and Clarence Struble with Richard Patton as RSVP specialist. The program will hire volunteers 60 and older and provide transportation lunch and insurance. a new office is at 25742 Mill St Middleport and a mini bus is funded by the grant.

About 25 participants attended the Leadership Workshop at the Meigs Inn sponsored by the Meigs County Extension Service and Ohio University. C. E.
