Young Woman Confesses to Brutal Murder in Louisiana
In Lake Charles a jailed young woman identified as Tonie Henry confessed to the murder of Joseph P. Calloway, a 41 year old Houston tire salesman. Authorities say she admitted shooting him after a plan to rob a bank unraveled and noted she killed him when he pleaded for mercy. Calloway’s naked body was found under a haystack 12 miles south of Lake Charles. Henry was arrested in Shreveport in a separate Beaumont hardware store robbery case and transported to the parish where she gave the confession.
