Monroe Michigan February 19 Three Monroe High School juniors returning from a dance were killed in a head on crash three miles north of Monroe. The other car’s driver also died. The victims were Joan McPike 17 Ralph Quackenbush 16 and Amey Neil Humphrey 29 an official at The Consolidated Paper Co.
A gold watch, chain, and a knife belonging to Pete Bachus were stolen from his vest hung in the Athenean Restaurant rest room Saturday night. Several other coats in the same room were searched but nothing else was taken.
Two people died in an automobile collision near Zanesville on Sunday. Victims were Mrs. Radford Hickerson, 23, Malta, and James Burnett, 24, Crooksville. The crash occurred near the city as authorities investigated the cause.

Mrs Elizabeth Stanley 77 died at 12:50 this morning at her daughter's home, 383 West State Street Athens. She had bronchitis a week. Funeral plans pending relatives. Lived mainly in Albany and Athens with daughter Mrs Charles McAfee. Survived by two daughters Mrs McAfee and Mrs Howard Robbins of Columbus, son Pearl Danny of Columbus, sisters Mrs Georgia Wynn and Mrs Jennie Beckler, and brother J H Foster.
