Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co Ohio Bell Telephone Co lead the corporate group while Maurers Variety Store Holland Shoe Store Nelsonville Tribune and others follow in the non corporate group. All schools including Central East West and High School buildings report 100 percent participation as volunteers collect solicitation cards and push toward the 2200 dollar goal. Valentine Tea Hosts by Nelsonville Home Economics
Members of the Home Economics Department hosted a Valentine Tea in the home economics room after school. Hosts Waiva Bateman and Vergene Midkiff presented a program of piano solos vocal numbers tap and toe dances and songs while tea sandwiches and cookies were served to a list of students. The high school Faculty Club will hold a dinner party next Thursday at 5 30 in the home economics rooms. A World Fair Stage Revue is set for Monday at 7 30 in the high school auditorium with Clarence Olden and his orchestra a Mexican dance team and magicians and jugglers. Doors open at 7. Seats remain for reservations. no second show is planned.

Sohio Service led by Doc Gardner with 624 for the pinmen defeated Straitsville three straight games in Nelsonville as the city league total reached 2788. Gardner topped the night with a 223 single and 624 series while K Cope 566 and D Millholland 321 helped the victors. Straitsville’s W Calkins and G Wilson led the other side but fell short. A daughter Garnet Yvonne was born to Mr and Mrs Lewis Osler of Nelsonville.
