Charles W Harris died Friday in New Castle Colorado after years of pulmonary illness. Born April 7 1858 in Clarksburg WV he lived in Athens from childhood and rose from bookkeeper to cashier at the Bank of Athens. He later moved to Arizona then Colorado where he died. Funeral at the M E Church with Knights Templar honors. He leaves two sisters Mrs C R Cable and Mrs A B Richardson and a brother Albert Harris.

Coasting Thrills Claim County Youths Bright Winter Days

Boys and girls across the county enjoy ideal sledding this past week. Youths toddle with sleds and ride from State Street for about a third of a mile, speeding downhill like express trains and steering the curves with smooth dexterity. The longer days and cold nights fuel constant fun as children race and play on the ice.

Death of Miss Elzina McKinstry at 32

Miss Elzina McKinstry, 32, died at her parents home on Hospital Atenna yesterday morning about 5 o'clock of pneumonia. The funeral will be at 9:30 Friday morning at the residence, conducted by Rev. W. D. Cherrington. Interment will follow at Hebbardaville cemetery.

Pallas Club Holds Elegant Annual Banquet Thursday

The Pallas club hosted its annual banquet Thursday evening in the Assembly Club room with about one hundred attendees. The event featured a Scandinavian study focus, floral decorations, a refined musical program, and performances by Misses Bella Bighop Margaret Ullom and Mr Porter Alderson, with the O A orchestra enhancing the occasion. Refreshments followed the program.

Nelsonville Rural Routes Established for Free Delivery

Nelsonville will establish three rural free delivery routes by March first. Route one runs from Nelsonville to Kimberly Floodwood and Beaumont. Route two covers Nelsonville Dannville Floodwood and nearby areas. Route three extends west to within one mile of Haydenville including Peach Orchard Star P O and adjacent territory.
