Survived by wife, a married son Harold, father Thomas Howell of Columbus, three sisters Mrs Cline, Mrs Patterson, Mrs Honaker, and four brothers Frank, Oscar, Clifford, and Alva. Funeral arrangements not set.

Circlville Feb 12 Charles McAllister father of Maynard McAllister a cook aboard the vessel Seth Parker which is sending distress calls from the Pacific ocean died of a heart attack at 2am He had been waiting by a radio for news from the ship and collapsed in the bathroom before retiring
Miss Mina Sprain living near Ohio City seven miles southwest of here died from carbon monoxide fumes in her home. The exhaust from a gasoline motor used for lighting purposes caused the asphyxiation and she died before reaching a hospital.
In Belmont County Ohio, 15 year old John Dietrich died after a long illness described as a creeping paralysis. He is the third Dietrich son to die from the mysterious affliction within generations, following brothers Glenn aged 16 and another who died years ago. The parents also have influenza while female relatives have remained unaffected.
Columbus Feb 12 A proposal to speed legislative voting would install electric voting systems in both the House and Senate. Lawmakers could vote by pressing a button, replacing the current roll call method requiring each member to respond yes or no.
Former President Herbert Hoover will address the Lincoln Day dinner of the National Republican Club in New York. The NBC WJZ network will broadcast his speech at 9 45 p m EST tonight.
In Mansfield a 4 year old girl, Helen, tried to save her mother Mrs. George Beer 32, when an oil lamp exploded causing fatal burns. Helen covered her mother with a blanket and dragged her outside before the house burned nine miles southeast of Mansfield.
