Death of H J Herrold Leads to Friday Funeral in Athens
Herbert J. Herrold 49 died Tuesday in Lockwood Clinic Toronto after gallstone surgery. His body will reach Athens Thursday and be taken to sister Mrs T L Morgan’s home for services Friday at 10:30 AM. Burial in West Union Street Cemetery. Surviving are five children and siblings Joe Herrold Columbus, Mrs A M McCaughey Akron, Mrs Erwin Merwin Pittsburgh, Mrs Thurman L Morgan Athens, plus relatives in Sault Ste Marie and Toronto. He was born in Athens and attended Ohio University. He served with Hudson Bay Company as traffic manager before moving to Toronto to join Canadian Coal Company. Funeral party includes three children and brother Joe Herrold.
