In the Delaware River near Philadelphia the steamer London Corporation from the Curness-Withy Line collided with the Reading Railroad Ferry Cape May. In a small study of five prospective mothers, four habitual smokers, the infants’ heartbeats rose about five beats in eight to twelve minutes after the mothers lit up.
