Ohio University trustees adopted a resolution for a step-wage increase to more than 90 percent of non academic workers retroactive to Jan 1. They authorized bids for a married students housing complex on Mill Street with Knowlton Construction Co winning the main contract at 2 549 000.

Two Receive Jail Terms in Juvenile Court Case
Athens County Juvenile Court committed two men to the Athens County Jail on charges of acting to delinquent a minor. Tommie Dean Bolin, 18, of Albany, got one year with three months suspended and two years probation with caveats on conduct and avoiding youths. Winton C. Chadwell, 20, of Amesville Route 1, drew nine months to finish an unserved original commitment for probation violation.
