The Ways and Means Committee of the Athens City Federation of Women’s Clubs plans an Oldtime Minstrel Show featuring Athens business men once prominent in local minstrel groups. Men approached as former minstrel stars respond eagerly, with the project aimed to raise funds to redecorate and remodel the old City Hall into a recreation center. The show will include business men singing, performing stunts and a blackface chorus, revived after about 20 years. The date falls between April 30 and a later announced day.
