Sacrificing at Five Diamonds Costly In Bridge Play
Oswald Jacoby explains a 200 point swing from a five diamond sacrifice versus four spades. West opened eight of hearts, East signaled high card entry by ruffing, leading to a sequence where cashing the king of spades after the third heart ruff and a final low spade to East’s ace determined the outcome. South ruffed with the king of diamonds and finessed, but the contract failed to yield.

The same bidding sequence is asked again for Tomorrow.
