County Board Creates New Ames Rome Canaan School District
The county school board in special session voted unanimously to form the Ames Bern Carthage Troy Rome Canaan district. Porter said action follows a November notification and could face legal challenge. 35 percent petition could place the issue on the ballot. Robert Ellis and Lewis L Moore, from Torch and Stewart, serve on the board from the proposed district.
