Sheriff links two meth labs in Athens County case
The Athens County Major Crimes Unit defused its second meth lab in months and Sheriff Rodney Smith says both incidents may be connected. Officers found meth making ingredients and 10 vessels at a Hockingport residence during an unrelated warrant arrest. The suspect, in custody but not charged, is tied to a January Coolville discovery and Wednesday’s lab, with Coolville Fire Department aiding in both raids. The case will go to a future grand jury.
