Nursing School Receives 22000 Grant For Audiovisual Equipment
The Southeastern Ohio School of Practical Nursing at Hocking Technical College in Nelsonville has been awarded a 22000 grant from the Helene Fuld Health Trust. The funding covers a TV camera monitors tape recorders learning carrels with projection units film-loop projectors a 16 mm movie camera an overhead projector and nursing related videotapes loops and cassettes. The gear will support individualized instruction and allow faculty and students to create and share educational materials. Faculty recently attended a two day workshop in Columbus on videotape and AV material development. The Helen Fuld Health Trust funds nursing education welfare and health and supports 62 nursing schools in the U S Turkey and Lebanon.

Drum and Baton Corps Plan Weekend Performances

Grange Confers Degrees at York Grange Meeting
Nelsonville York Grange No. 2436 conferred two degrees during Thursday night sessions at the Grange Hall Oak Grove. Plans were made for a three way visitation by Amesville Lodi and Albany Granges to York Grange. A film The Animals Are Crying sponsored by the Athens County Humane Society was shown. Wilbur Mender spoke on over population of dogs and cats and the need for spaying or neutering to control the problem. Mender urged Grange members to care for farm animals and assist others in proper livestock care amid local neglect concerns. February 15 will be visitation night at York Grange.
