FDA Proposes Toy Safety Regulations on Electric Hazards
The FDA plans rules to ban electrically operated toys with dangerous heating or motion risks under the Child Protection and Toy Safety Act. Regulations would require CAUTION Electric Toy labels on above 30 volts, warnings on heating devices, guarded moving parts, clear OFF switches, and safety features on sewing machines and pressurized enclosures.
