The Heart as a Remarkable Organ and Modern Health

The Heart is a hollow muscular organ the size of a fist with a daily output far above many tasks. It beats about 70 times per minute and 100,000 times a day, lifting a 150 pound weight to great heights over a lifetime. One third of deaths are linked to heart failures, especially in developed nations, with modern living influencing heart disease more than pure physical causes. The note ends with a pharmacy ad for Athens Medical Center offering computerized family RX records and free delivery.
