Cochran Backs Shields For Police Dispatcher Job
Athens Police Chief Charles Cochran said former sheriff Harold Shields should be considered for the dispatcher post but may be overqualified. He noted Teddy Hutchins was named sergeant, and Ron Mount is favored for the dispatcher role by the mayor who selects from three Civil Service certified candidates.
