In South Viet Nam near Binh Ghia a Viet Cong unit ambushed Marines as they opened graves believed to hold four U S servicemen. An Army helicopter covering the body retrieval was shot down and exploded, with four American crewmen presumed dead at the crash site.
State Sen. Roy B. Gardner plans to file for unemployment and Social Security. He will fire himself as president of R. B. Gardner Inc to qualify, though his oldest son is the only other employee.
