OU student pay raise delayed until new fiscal year
Ohio University will delay a planned wage increase for student workers to July 1978. The wage study committee found the federal minimum for work study may not apply immediately, and the state minimum will rise to 2.30 dollars Sunday. An increase now would cost about 92,000 dollars or cut 92 jobs and 25,000 work hours, leading university officials to postpone the raise to the 1978 79 budget year with a July decision pending committee recommendations.
