Ohio U Bobcats schedule toughened by Kent State and Western Reserve
Ohio University basketball coach Jim Snyder faces a busy weekend with Western Reserve in Cleveland and Kent State in the north after a four loss start and a lone win over Kent State which left the MAC record clean. Snyder cites improvement and notes Kent State’s close home loss to Miami. In other notes, Miami’s 1953 football captain-elect Duke Anderson earned first team on Miami all opponent offense and John Turk on defense, while Miami and Xavier players earned awards. Stockport's Harkins sparked a victory for Windsor over Forest Grove with 37 from Dean Foraker and multiple scorers, as the Red Stockport lineup showed depth.
