Saigon AP reports the U.S. air command confirms four more aircraft, including another B52, and 12 fliers missing or killed. Losses bring total to 27 aircraft and 93 airmen unaccounted after less than two weeks of raids on Hanoi Haiphong.
In Independence Missouri Bess Truman and daughter Margaret Daniel thank citizens for sympathy after the funeral of Harry S. Truman. They praise the simple solemn ceremonies and note a memorial service set for January 5 in Washington. Flags will remain at half staff for 26 more days. Randall Jessee, the family spokesman, said Mrs Truman faces life at home with composure beside Truman's gravesite.
Eighteen House Democrats urge a special session of the Democratic National Committee to mobilize opposition to the Vietnam bombing. They seek a caucus vote against the bombing and in favor of a U S North Vietnam peace treaty, and press Speaker Carl Albert to back the effort. Albert favors delaying action until administration explanations on peace talks and bombing are heard as antiwar factions criticise him ahead of the January caucus.
U S Senator William Saxbe of Ohio denounces President Nixon's bombing policy calling it arrogant and irresponsible and says he will back antiwar measures in Congress. He criticizes White House communication after Dec 18 bombing and notes the caucus focus on party rules may delay other actions.
Four Arab terrorists who occupied the Israeli Embassy in Bangkok for 19 hours released six Israeli hostages and flew to Cairo after negotiations. Thai officials accompanied the group on their government plane and Egypt refused interviews. Israel refused concessions, praising Thailand for handling the crisis.

He estimates potential county farm losses could reach 250 million and, with OFBF leaders, plans to seek federal aid from Ohio lawmakers.
