Subsidy Funds Withheld From 3 Ohio State Universities
The State Controlling Board froze nearly $1 million in subsidies for Ohio University Bowling Green State University and Central State University amid a dispute over whether out of state students should count toward enrollment totals. The Ohio Attorney General will decide the case, with potential losses of about $700,000 for OU and Central State if out of state students are excluded. The board deferred action until the AG ruling and also postponed architectural spending for a teaching hospital and a medical school planning project.
