Fire on South Court Street Sunday morning endangered an entire block but was controlled quickly by firefighters. Rudolph J. Musser Jr. a 33 year old commercial photographer, was fatally shot by his father Rudolph C. Musser, 62, after a Christmas Day argument. The father surrendered to police saying a drinking night preceded the incident and that the son drew a pistol during a room scuffle.
Senator Vandenberg of Michigan introduced a bill to establish a Federal guaranty on all time deposits in Federal Reserve member banks. He argued the move would curb hoarding boost public confidence and avoid a broad guaranteed deposit system.
Three teen suspects are in custody over Christmas Day killings linked to liquor fueled family quarrels. Seventeen year old Donald Romer stabbed and killed his father after a struggle, allegedly aiding his mother. Nineteen year old Edward Andrzejewski defended his mother during a fight that left his stepfather dead. Sixteen year old Herbert Polchow shot and killed his brother amid threats to his father.
In St Louis the search for the body of Dr Squire P Bevier a dentist suspected in the brutal murder of Mrs Josephine M Elder continues along the Mississippi River with police stating they are reasonably sure he jumped in the river. Elder mother of Conway Elder prominent lawyer and former state supreme court justice was beaten to death with a mallet in his office last Thursday and her body recovered the next day.

Dr. Robert L. Borger professor of mathematics at Ohio University died at his North Hill home at 2 a m after months of heart trouble. He had taught at Ohio University 17 years and was born in Alexandria Virginia. He studied at Lake City Florida and Florida State College before earning degrees at the University of Chicago. He taught at Florida State College, Missouri, and Chicago before joining Ohio University. He leaves three sisters, two nieces, and a nephew. Funeral arrangements were not completed.
A seven pound baby boy named James Bryan Kayser was born at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sheltering Arms Hospital. Parents are H A Kayser of 2278 Indianola Avenue Columbus and Lucille Howell Kayser, formerly of Athens. Grandparents are F C Kayser and his wife of 87 Lancaster Street. This is the family's first child.
David Johnson reports last week 671 automobile licenses sold with total receipts of 7364.55 dollars. Kiots to serve until Jan 7 while parties seek resolution to constitutional four year six year limit. Pask, entering his thirtieth month, expected to begin a new two year term Jan 3 despite the rule. Democratic leaders had threatened to appoint a Democrat. Haff was endorsed if vacancy occurred after Pask’s defeat of Haff in November.
Baroness Carla Suzanne Jensen on a national lecture tour is exposed as a confessed impostor who alleges she is the illegitimate daughter of King Christian of Denmark. She says Arnold Oscar Valdemar Jensen raised her after taking her from Denmark to Africa in 1914, with letters proving her status stored in a South African bank vault awaiting access for three months.
Elizabeth Zarley 81 died at Sheltering Arma Hospital about 7 o clock after an auto crash near Amesville Friday night. She was a passenger with Roth Harrie 2 and Alvie Maney near Rich Avenue. Their car skidded at a sharp curve and struck a telephone pole.
