Death of Charles Axelson Shrouded in Mystery Near Millfield
Nelsonville Ohio December 24 19 Charles Axelson a Norwegian youth was found dead in a ravine three miles from Millfield. The vest bore blood marks and the corpse showed signs of foul play. Coroner Lane will hold an inquest around December 28 with findings to be kept in Athena. Police believe the crime occurred Saturday night though motive remains unknown. The body was identified by tattoo on the arm after an ambulance carried it to Athena for storage pending the inquest.

The remains of Mrs Phoebe Brooks arrived for burial after visiting Love City Guernsey County. Aged 72 or 73, she lived with son William Brooks since her husband died about ten years ago.
