Christmas decoration contest winners named by Athens Jaycees
Winners announced for the second annual Christmas decoration contest. Kimes Convalescent Center won the commercial category while Page Chevrolet Oldsmobile received honorable mention. Residential winners included Mr and Mrs Byron White and Mr and Mrs Vincent Kish with several honorable mentions. Judges were E F Rothel, Mrs Mary Diles and Dr Stanton Oates. Prizes donated by Columbia Gas of Ohio and the Electric Co.

Law Suit Settled Dismissed In Athens Tile Case
The Athens Tile and Marble Co. drops its suit against Hal Schneider and Architectural Builders after a 1833.98 settlement for materials supplied for Haywood and Elma Boles. Common Pleas Court could not locate the defendants. Also two men forfeited 33 bonds each in Municipal Court for intoxication.
