Not All Spanish Dancers Born In Spain
Irina Monter, billed as Lina Montez, stars as the only American in Antonio and the Ballets de Madrid on a U.S. tour at the national theater. The 19 year old, tall for the group, learned Spanish through daily work with Spaniards and plans a Madrid run before a possible Russian tour. Her family, visiting from Utah and California, will attend the Christmas performance. She trained in Salt Lake City, Scotland, Madrid, and is now a prominent Ballet Corps member.
