Nelsonville Court Actions On Traffic and Related Charges
Five cases brought by the State Highway Patrol were heard by Mayor Hilleary. Richard Forrest pled guilty to assault and battery. Kenneth Free and Ott McDonald were arraigned on intoxication charges. Others included Cecil Gordon Smith charged with leaving the scene and fined costs. several drivers were fined $10 and costs for violations including driving left of center and double line.

Murray City Resident Murphy Dies at 63
Nelsonville Ohio Murray City resident Frank Murphy 63 died at home Sunday after a long illness. A World War I veteran he led Murray City Post American Legion as past commander and served as postmaster twice. He also ran the Aid for the Aged sub division in Hocking County and was a Murphy Bros Grocery partner. He leaves two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10 a m at St Philip Newi Church with burial in Oak Grove Logan. Friends may call at the family home.
