The Hamley Run Circle held its first seasonal party at Mrs. J R Young's Nelsonville home with devotion led by Mrs. Knowles Martin and a Christmas poem read by guest Jo Anne Thompson. Gift exchange and potluck followed. Two Athens couples wed during the pre Christmas week by Justice J W Bailey, Fred Cooper and Irene Nichols on December 21, and Theodore West and Mary Jane Browning on December 32.
