Final Plans For Athens Community Christmas Party
Preparations are under way for the second annual Athens Christmas observance to be held tomorrow night under the Elks tree. The program starts at 6 30 with the high school band, followed by the main program at 7 30. 1 400 to 1 500 stockings will be filled with candy nuts and popcorn for the children. Court street will be roped off from Union to State with Boy Scouts policing the area. Salvation Army baskets and Elks baskets will be distributed and a $50 donation will fund ten five dollar gifts for needy individuals urged by the Elks.
